  • Make sure all your personal property is clearly marked with your race bib number.

  • Buses are available to transport you from Cumberland (1.5-miles east of the park) on race morning.  Note!! There is limited parking available at the lake. Due to the logistics of the bike course there is no parking on the sides of the road on race day.  Buses will run continually starting at 6:30am and throughout the day for a return to the parking lots.  There is parking at the lake on Friday for packet pickup (you can bring and leave your bike and gear at the lake on Friday).  If you need to bring your bike/gear on race morning, we recommend that you come to the lake and drop your gear and then park at Cumberland, which is just a little over a mile down the road.  Family & friends are welcome to take the bus at no cost.

  • Pin your bib number on a garment/race belt you will be wearing during the run. The bib must be placed on the front side of your body and be clearly visible as you cross the finish line.

  • Put the bike number (you will receive in your packet) on your bike prior to bringing it into the transition zone as well as your bike helmet number on your helmet.

  • Be sure that you have handlebar plugs secured. For your own safety, having the ends of your handlebars plugged is a requirement. You will receive a time penalty for failing to respect this rule.

  • Check-in at the lake no later than 8:00 a.m. to get your body marked.

  • Fill at least two water bottles and secure them on your bike.  Note: There will be one water bottle exchange on the course.

  • Take your racing accessories and check in with the appropriate official at the transition area. (Only competitors are allowed in the transition areas).

  • Find your pre-assigned bike space.  Arrange your gear properly for transition.

  • Prior to the swim start all participants must have their Timing Chip securely fastened to their ankle to be worn throughout the duration of the event.  It is appropriate to wear it under your wet suit (however, be very careful when you remove your wetsuit after the swim that you do not remove your Timing Chip - Always check that your Timing Chip is secure on your ankle before you start your next race segment

TEAMS: Each team member must have their own Timing Chip (teams please remember to turn in your Chip at your hand-off location within the transition zone).

  • Report to the starting area at least 15 minutes prior to race start.

  • Listen carefully to all pre-race instructions.
