TRANSITIONS/SPLITS:

SWIM to BIKE TRANSITION Swimmers will exit the pool and cross the timing mats just outside the building doors on their way into the Transition Zone where they will enter at the north end of the zone. TEAMS must make a conversion by touching fingertips at the designated "team tag" location within the Transition Zone. The finishing team swimmer must turn in their Timing Chip at this time. Participants must walk or run their bike out of the south end of the Transition Zone and cross the timing mats before mounting their bike at the bike mount sign. Also, helmets must be worn and fastened prior to mounting your bike. BIKE to RUN TRANSITION The bike ends at the bike dismount sign located just prior to the bike finish timing mats on the south end of the Transition Zone. After making the transition, runners will exit the Transition Zone at the north end running over the run start timing mats and follow the markings taking them directly to the run course. TEAMS: The cyclist must rack their bike and make the conversion by touching the fingertips of their teammate at the designated "team tag" location within the Transition Zone. The finishing team cyclists must turn in their Timing Chip at this time.

RACE RESULTS / TIMING: Timing of the event will be done using the ChampionChip Timing System. All competitors (including kid's races) will receive a loaner Timing Chip in their race packet. Participants must wear a Timing Chip on their ankle (with plastic strap provided) in order to receive splits and final results. Any participant who does not wear the Chip on their ankle will not receive a finish result or splits. Also, the loaner Chip must be returned at the conclusion of the event or the participant will need to pay a $30.00 replacement fee (see Waiver). If you do not wish to be timed, feel free to give the Chip back to the volunteer when picking up your packet. If you own your own Chip, please provide your seven-digit Chip code at the time you register.
