COURSE
The 5K course begins on Ponderosa, just west of Elk Lane (see map below), a residential street just opposite the Sunriver Village Mall, the official finish area. The 10K begins on Medical Road, located just west of the 5K start. Participants will travel approximately 0.8 miles before turning on the bicycle path system within this beautiful destination resort. The paths are approximately 6 ft wide, perfectly paved and wind around through the forest. Each course has only two small hills with a minimal elevation gain to navigate and a fast downhill to flat finish.

MP3 PLAYERS / IPODS / PORTABLE MUSIC DEVICES: Music devices will be allowed for use on the run course portions of all of the Pacific Crest events. This applies only to Pacific Crest, but not to the other multisport events owned by AA Sports, Ltd.

HYDRATION STATIONS & PORTA POTTIES: The 5K will have one hydration station and the 10K will have hydration stations. There will be only one porta potty on the course located at approximately the halfway point of the 5K and 4-1/2 miles into the 10K.

MARKING: The run course will be marked with white lime & pink directional signs (8 1/2" x 11") mounted on 48" wooden stakes. There will also be course marshals and/or Police at all necessary intersections where vehicle traffic may be found. Each mile will be marked with a mileage sign. The Run course will be marked on Thursday (including mile markers). Locations where the 5K & 10K courses diverge from the Half marathon course (one turn each) will not be marked until the conclusion of Saturdays' races to prevent confusion to those running the Saturday races.

COMMUNICATIONS: Each hydration station on the run course will have radio communication with the finish line and the Run Course Managers. If you cannot finish the race for any reason, please notify the closest aid station, or report it to the finish line. If you do not finish, please make sure that you return your Timing Chip to the finish line.

THE START: Runners & Walkers for both the 5K & 10K will gather in the Sunriver Village Mall (the official finish line) prior to the race. There will be music as well as water and electrolyte. Pre-race briefings will be given 20 minutes prior to the race starts and 5 minutes later all the athletes will move to the start line, as a group, located approximately 0.35 miles away.

THE FINISH: Athletes will finish the race at the Sunriver Village Mall within the midst of the enthusiastic crowd enjoying the finish line festivities which includes live entertainment from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Post race refreshments will be provided and the Awards Ceremony for the 5K 9:15 a.m. and the 10K awards ceremony will be held at 10:45 a.m.
