The Mammoth Trail Fest entered the ultra trail running scene last year with a 26K, 50K, and Hill Climb. The event, held September 18-21, 2025 in the scenic small Eastern Sierra town of Mammoth Lakes, and spearheaded by professional runner Tim Tollefson, returns this Fall as part of the international Golden Trail Series. The 26K, held on Sunday, is now an official stop on the series tour which also includes races in Switzerland, Spain, Italy, and France.

The Mammoth Trail Fest 50K happens on Saturday the 20th and will treat runners to incredible views along its 32-mile course which includes 7,000ft of elevation gain. The Hill Climb, with a start on Friday, takes runners along Dragon's Back, a 2.75-mile, 2,400ft ascent, to the summit of Mammoth Mountain at 11,053ft. Most festivities start and finish at Mammoth Village and a 1K event for the kids is also on the schedule for Saturday.
