Seattle Ghost Marathon, Half Marathon & 50K

November 29, 2025, will be the 40th running of the Seattle Ghost Marathon.  It started in 1985 when the Seattle Marathon changed courses and moved from Saturday to Sunday of Thanksgiving weekend.

The course is a very flat and fast certified Boston Marathon qualifier.  The marathon is comprised of two 13.1-mile loops run on streets and sidewalks along scenic Lake Washington in Seattle, WA.

The race features a flat, fast course along Lake Washington Boulevard.

• Half Marathon: A single loop showcasing scenic views.
• Marathon: Two loops of the half marathon course.
• 50K: The 50K adds an additional loop of Seward Park at the start. A map and detailed description will be sent to all 50K race entrants.

The course heads south from the starting line, clockwise around Seward Park, and then north along Lake Washington Boulevard past Leschi to the turnaround point. You will head south back past the Leschi aid station and back to the start/finish line.
